In the east, the first Japanese claimed the origami. They used all forms of a 1200-year-old tradition to decorate the temple during the religious ceremonies during the Henian Period (794 – 1185). It is believed that the tradition of folding 1000 Turna called “Senbaorizuru” in Japanese, which has survived to this day, started in this period.
Most of the information about origami today is based on the Edo Period (1603-1867).
The first written sources of origami were written in Senbaorizuru Orikata (Folding 1000 Turna) in 1797 and Kan No Mado in 1845.
When it comes to Origami, Akira Yoshizawa comes to mind first. It is the person who reveals the symbols used in the origami recipes of Akira Yoshizawa, which is estimated to have approximately 50,000 works.
